There are few things in life that make me really nervous and transporting art is certainly one of them.
This is „up’n’over“ bubble wrapped – ready for me to take to Bamberg. Got it up just in time!
What do we find in the other rooms – now that everything is unpacked?
This is Ulrich Köditz. His paintings ask questions about life and death, the meaning of life, burden and salvation.
Susanne Schreyer is also occupied with questions about life. Life is….? What is life? We don’t see her thinking about it in self-portraits, but suggestions in words, graphical used letters, associations for the observer to complete to his own personal answer.
Let’s peep into Christiane Toewe’s room again before we go upstairs:
Christiane put all the cups on a table. This is a VERY fragile installation: the cups which are made from thin porcelain start moving with the slightest breeze in the room. Each cup is dedicated to a person she has met recently. New relationships, friendships – beautiful, poetic, risky, fragile – we need to take care for them to survive!
Renate Fukerider’s artwork upstairs looks just as fragile: she likes to work with paper and creates bizarre objects that remind us of things we use in everyday life.
Oh – the official opening has started!!
What is the artist trying to say? /Was will uns der Künstler damit sagen?
