Let me invite you to the exhibition of the professional artist’s association in Bamberg „Was will uns der Künstler damit sagen?“

2nd July – 15th August 2011

Stadtgalerie Villa Dessauer, Hainstraße 4a, Bamberg/ Bavaria/ Germany

13 artists (Peter Davey, Andrea Buckland, Susanne Schreyer, Ulrich Köditz, Chris Engels, Christiane Töwe, Waltraud Scheidel, Richard Wientzek, Heike Preier, Hermine Gold, Jannina Hector and Renate Fukerider) will be showing works to discuss the communication between the artist and the recipient.

I will take part with two of my paintings and a recording of lyrics: an experiment with the reception of art while using different acoustic stimuli.

How much can be said by a painting? How much will always be determined by the individual experiences and associations of the art viewer?

Do paintings ’speak‘? And when they do – can we translate them into words?
